Want a little more power?
There are some minor problems with any production head. When the valve seats are
machined, there is a sharp corner left on the short side. We radius this corner
along with doing some work in the intake port. Take a look at the
chart for flow rate comparisons. Head work with our cams will really wake up this
engine. Figure an increase of 50 cfm will produce 100 HP.
With our hand fabricated or cast manifolds, we can open up the intake
ports to flow the numbers you are seeing in the chart below. If you are going to use the
stock plastic intake, the numbers are slightly less.
